TAMPA BAY, Fla. – 28 JUNE 2022 – Tony Braswell, President and Founder of Gale Healthcare Solutions, has been named an Entrepreneur Of The Year Florida regional award winner by Ernst & Young LLP (EY). Braswell’s selection was based on his entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth and impact, among other core contributions and attributes.

Braswell’s entrepreneurial talents have long been part of his professional resume. Following early experience in the healthcare and professional recruiting industries, he launched his own healthcare staffing firm in 1995. Over the next two decades, he gained a deep and personal understanding of the significant challenges facing nursing professionals and healthcare providers.
In 2016, he led a team in developing technology to offer a solution – the Gale app that connects available caregivers to healthcare facilities with unmet staffing needs. This on-demand model broke new ground in the industry, as did another innovation – same day pay for nursing staff.
From the start, Braswell recognized the power of on-demand technology to serve healthcare facilities in need of supplemental staff, while also empowering clinicians to have more control over their schedule and earnings. To date, Gale Healthcare has attracted more than 45,000 nursing professionals to its platform, enabling service to healthcare facilities in 39 states. Every five minutes, another nursing or nursing assistant applies to join Gale Healthcare.

As a Florida award winner, Braswell will now be considered for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2022 National Awards, which will be announced in November.
