TAMPA, Fla.—Gale Healthcare, a Tampa-based company committed to addressing the nursing shortage through innovative technology, has secured its position as one of the top staffing companies in the United States.
For the second consecutive year, Gale Healthcare has been recognized by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), as one of the largest staffing companies in the country. The list features 251 companies that achieved a minimum of $100 million in US staffing revenue in 2022. Gale ranked at 115, reporting $305 million in revenue, and is one of four Tampa-based firms on the SIA list, including KForce (#23), Hays (#169), and System Soft Technologies (#194).
SIA also recognized Gale as the fifth largest company in the $7.6 billion per diem healthcare staffing industry.
“Our remarkable team is driven by purpose, as we strive to help healthcare providers fill open nursing shifts, ensuring no person goes without care,” said Tony Braswell, President and Founder of Gale. “The nursing industry is in crisis, but we firmly believe that through technology and innovation, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of nurses and the communities they serve every single day.”
Gale was first-to-market with a tech-based platform that disrupts the traditional staffing agency model by allowing nursing professionals to work when and where they want. Healthcare providers post their staffing needs and nurses select the shifts they want in real-time. Gale’s industry-leading platform also allows nursing staff to be paid within minutes after they finish work, another game-changing innovation that empowers nurses looking for more control over their career.
Over the past year, Gale Healthcare expanded its presence by establishing a new headquarters near St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa. With operations spanning 40 states, Gale now employs nearly 65,000 clinicians to support thousands of healthcare providers with per diem staffing needs. With a network of more than 250,000 clinicians nationally, Gale also supports healthcare providers through contract and permanent placement options.
In addition to the SIA ranking, Gale made the 2022 Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing companies and won a global Merit Award for its groundbreaking contributions to healthcare technology. The company was recently named Tampa Bay’s top health-tech company by Tampa Bay Inno and one of the fastest growing companies by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
