TAMPA, FL— Gale Healthcare, a leading health tech company dedicated to resolving the nationwide nursing shortage, has been recognized as the 11th fastest growing company in Tampa Bay, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Fast 50 list. This distinction, earned for the second year in a row, is based on three-year revenue growth of more than 340%. Other notable achievements over the past year include:
- Opening new corporate headquarters in Tampa.
- Growing its national clinical workforce to 65,000 nursing professionals to enable service to clients across 40 states.
- Adding top technology talent to accelerate development of the industry-leading Gale platform for healthcare staffing.
“It is an honor to be recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in Tampa Bay,” said Tony Braswell, Gale President and Founder. “Launching a digital platform to support the healthcare sector has been transformational for our company and our industry. It’s really gratifying to see the incredible difference we’re making in the lives of so many people, and to be part of this region’s thriving technology sector.”
Gale Healthcare revolutionized the healthcare staffing industry with its groundbreaking tech-based platform, which disrupts the traditional staffing agency model. The platform connects nursing staff with healthcare providers that have open shifts. Nurses are empowered to work when and where they want, as they can choose from open shifts in real-time. Additionally, Gale’s game-changing platform provides instant payment for nursing staff upon completion of their shifts, another first for the industry.
This recognition is the latest accolade Gale Healthcare and Tony Braswell have earned for their pioneering contributions to the industry over the past year, including Braswell being chosen as Florida’s Entrepreneur of The Year by Ernst & Young LLP, and Gale securing a spot on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest growing companies, and being recognized as one of the Largest and Fastest-Growing US Staffing Firms by Staffing Industry Analysts, Inc. Gale also received a global Merit Award for healthcare technology and was named Tampa Bay’s top health-tech company by Tampa Bay Inno.
In addition, in the past year, Kan Kotecha, formerly of Google, joined the company as Chief Technology Officer and Tulsi Dharmarajan, from Wheel, was appointed Chief Product Office, to accelerate strategic technology investments that continue to transform the industry and provide better service for nurses, healthcare providers and patients across the country.
